Cote Contreras
12 & UNDER AND JHHS CO-DIRECTOR
Cote Contreras serves as the Co-Director of the 12 & Under program and oversees the Junior High and High School (JHHS) program at Giammalva Racquet Club & Elite Academy. He also coaches Elite and Full-Time players, as well as adults. Cote has been with the company since 2018, bringing a wealth of experience to his role.
EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Cote holds a degree in Physical Education from a Chilean university, with a specialization in fitness. He has completed ITF courses as a tennis coach and holds relevant certifications. His educational background and certifications underpin his extensive expertise in both coaching and fitness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPERTISE
In his dual role as Co-Director and coach, Cote is responsible for providing high-quality sports and values training to children, developing their technique and tactics for future tennis challenges. He works to enhance the programs, ensuring a strong pipeline of players for transition. Cote’s expertise includes training and development across all stages, from initiation to advanced levels. He is particularly focused on the continuity and growth of the training process within the academy.
PERSONAL INSIGHTS
Cote enjoys engaging with both children and adults, finding fulfillment in their progress and enjoyment of tennis. He values the development of both sporting skills and personal values in his students, and he appreciates the recognition that comes with his work. Improved communication skills in English have enhanced his ability to connect with clients and players, contributing to better service.
OUTSIDE WORK
Cote maintains a healthy lifestyle through regular gym sessions and enjoys music. Although he does not participate in community or volunteer activities, his personal interests support his professional approach.
FUTURE GOALS
Cote is committed to making Giammalva the premier destination for tennis, aiming to provide exceptional service on and off the court. He envisions continuing his development within his current role, focusing on the growth and success of the academy.
